About Us
Welcome to Smokey Mountain Doxies
We are a small home-based breeder in Newport, Tennessee. We love our doxies and the puppies we raise. We have longhair, shorthair and wirehair miniature Dachshunds in a variety of colors from creams to blues to wild boar and patterns such as dapple, piebald and brindle.
Adoptions
Should you see a puppy you are interested in or you are just looking for the right puppy, please contact us about pricing and details. Prices quoted are pet price only. Full rights for breeding purposes will be negotiated on a case-by-case basis.
All our puppies require a $200 non-refundable deposit to be held in reserve for you. The deposit will be applied to the purchase price. No deposits will be accepted before puppies are here and verified to be healthy.
We reserved the right to refuse to sell to anyone we deem not responsible to raise one of our babies.
We accept Master Card, Visa or Discovery via Square®, or personal checks for deposit only. Personal checks to be made out to Terry Antley. A $200 Square® invoice will be sent via email. The balance to be paid in cash when you take possession of your puppy.
Delivery arrangements for your new puppy will be arranged at the time of the sale. The pick-up times are between 9am and 5pm. Should you not be able to pick up between these hours, we will discuss with you for different arrangement. There will be a $10 per day fee charged for all days puppy remains at SMD’s past the pick-up date. We also offer puppy transport from our home to yours. Just let us know and we can give you a quote for this service.
We DO NOT and WILL NOT SHIP our puppies.
Visits to meet a puppy or see parents
We appreciate all future customers that do their due diligence in making sure they are not being scammed or purchasing from a puppy mill. If you wish to meet our adult dogs before committing to a puppy, please plan to schedule your visit well in advance of the time you wish to visit. We do not allow visits with newborn puppies to limit the chances of contracting diseases. No puppies can be handled or held before they have received their first shots. We will do our very best to accommodate your request so that you can meet our dogs and puppies.
Buyers, be aware of scammers!
Scammers are constantly on the prowl for innocent victims! If you are looking for a new fur baby for a special occasion or just because you want a new puppy, please seek responsible breeders that will take the time to answer your questions, and who are willing to send you pictures and videos. If an ad seems too good to be true, it’s probably a scam. And we don’t want that!
Honest responsible breeders will make sure you feel comfortable. They will speak with you and will never pressure you into sending money. So please be careful! Enjoy searching for a new precious fur-baby to join your family.
AKC REUNITE Chipping
Smokey Mountain Doxies is now offering AKC REUNITE chipping services for your new puppy. This chip comes with a lifetime registration through AKC and can be read by most veterinarian chip readers. Contact us for more information on this service.
